If you desire something, how badly would you try to get it? What are the consequences of your actions? That is the question that is asked, and answered in Final Journey. I would have to say that this is one of the more interesting CG animation films that I have ever seen. Also, there is a moral to Final Journey, which I find lacking in the genre.
I think that this film would actually be a good training video, and that is not an insult to the film writer and those who worked on it, and nor is my suggestion about assembling parts on a distant planet. I feel that the question is actually two-fold; what are the consequences of not doing your job properly, and if you were offered something that you wanted, what would you do to get it? The answer may be predictable, but the way that it was presented in the film was a surprise in how everything that we do can connect to ourselves and others.
Final Journey is a dramatic story about consequences of desperate acting. It combines an emotional message with strong lighting, atmospheric locations and a music score composed by brothers Andreas and Matthias Hornschuh
The film’s director Lars Zimmermann was born in November 1981 in Limburg/Lahn, Germany. The short film Final Journey was his graduation work in "Media-Design" at the University Of Applied Sciences Mainz, Germany. Since 2000 he has been working as a freelancer in web and print media.
