About The QBP (The QBliss
Podcast): |
As most of you are aware, the Podcast phenomenon has take the world by
storm. Regardless of if you own an actual Apple iPod, or any other
portable digital media device, you are likely able to get and listen to a
Podcast. If you do not have an iPod, you can easily listen to them online
with your computer at a variety of Podcasting offering websites, most
notably, iTunes or Podcast Alley.
What Is A Podcast?
Podcasting in its most basic form is nothing more than an audio file, and
sometimes a video file that can be downloaded and listened to or viewed
from any number of devices. So, when you subscribe to a Podcast, you
download a file, just like a music or video file, and listen or watch. The
nice thing about Podcasting is its ability to “subscribe” to content. You
are automatically given updates so the next time you plug your iPod (or
equivalent) into your computer, you get the latest and greatest. If you
choose to unsubscribe, you may do so at any time.
Why Does QBliss Want To Podcast?
Since this has been a very popular way to convey information, music,
videos, and other content, QBliss has decided to enter this market. We
would like to offer programming with solid content that would be of
interest to the community. Our initial offering will be audio for the time
being, but we are entertaining a possible video releases in the future.
How Long Will The Podcast Be?
We are still in the process of determining a total run time, but we are
initially going to keep them between 30-60 minutes.
When Will The Podcasts Be Published?
For the time being we are limiting our releases to once a month between
the 20th and 25th of each month. This may change over time, but for now
that is the plan.
What Will Be In The Podcast?
QBliss will split the Podcast into segments. The segments are not
determined by a specified length of time, but we will edit for content for
time consideration. The actual segments content will change month by
month..
I Want To Subscribe To The QBP & But Don’t Have An iPod Or
iTunes?
You can download iTunes for free and receive The QBP via iTunes and listen
to it on your PC. If you are familiar with RSS (Really Simple
Syndication), you can also receive and listen to the Podcast thru most RSS
readers. iTunes is free and subscribing to The QBP will also at no charge.
Some RSS readers can be purchased, but there are many free readers out
there as well to choose from. You can read on how to do this in the help
files of iTunes and the RSS reader that you use.
I Only Have An RSS Reader, Can I Still Get The QBP?
Absolutely! Click on the above link and you will be subscribed to The QBP.
Since there are many RSS readers out there, please refer to your help file
on how to subscribe to The QBP if you experience any problems subscribing.
I Only Have A Dial-up Connection. Can I Still Get The QBP?
Yes you can, but as with most Podcasts, the files themselves can be quite
large, sometime on the order of 15-20 Megabytes per Podcast so it will
take some time to download them. DSL/Cable Internet (or better) is
preferred, but not required.
Can I Tell My Friends About The QBP And How To Subscribe?
YES! Please do! This will be released to the general public. |
